James Allison, the Principal, has over thirty years expertise in aquatics. His passion for ponds and watergardens began in his youth, and led to qualifications in Biology (B.Sc. Hons) and Applied Hydrobiology (M.Sc.). Further practical experience proved invaluable in building a fuller understanding of the principles of well-balanced water garden ecology.
Managing one of the UK’s leading aquatic retailers gave James further hands-on skills in specifying water garden equipment, plants and fish, for projects by landscapers, garden designers, and homeowners.
Water Garden Solutions has been involved with construction projects, pump and filtration schemes, planting, consultancy, (and previously servicing), on all sizes of water gardens from water features in town gardens through to small lakes in the countryside.
The current business now concentrates on consultancy, with James Allison personally engaged in all projects, working alongside architects/designers, and customers’ own builders/landscapers.
